I have been professionally graphic designing for 10 years on various personal and commercial projects. When I was 16 I went to college and learned to create using basic Adobe Suite software (and back then it was still unbelievably basic comparatively!) and it subsequently became my favourite artistic medium. I continued to create digital art for several personal projects over the years and about 10 years ago began to sell collections of my prints online.
I started to receive commissions for private sale, branding for local start-ups and print/web layouts for existing products. In my personal artwork I am generally inspired by the natural world, futurism, dream states, geometry, ancient structures, science fiction and surrealism. I have always loved experimenting with digital processes to produce the most abstract results and these themes are what generally emerge when I produce anything organically.
As a designer for hire I like to be instinctive and create a visual concept that brings the clients’ ideas to life. I can adapt to most visual concepts and create something new and unique for each person I design for; I have a broad skillset across many different media and software. However, I do inevitably bring something of my own particular aesthetic to every project.
Since I began designing freelance full time, I have produced designs for widely disparate industries/clients - from pub signs and poster ads to jewellery lines and clothing labels. Last year I created my own small line of casual streetwear with original all-over print patterns available for purchase via online selling platform Etsy.
This year I am expanding into more freelance commissions, 3D renders and motion graphics and app development. My main tools are Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, XD, Maya and Cinema 4D.
